The Los Angeles based Grizfolk opened the night to a smaller but enthusiastic crowd. Leader singer, Adam Roth thanked the crowd for coming out earlier and the supportive energy. The band recently released a single “Heavy Crown.” The lyrics “Be a light in a cold, cold, cold world” was a positive message in these current divisive times.
Flor the indie pop rock band from Hood River, Oregon took the stage after a brief break. The crowd at this point had grown considerably in size. The lead singer Zach Grace along with the rest of the band pumped up the crowd with their energetic set. The band performed their latest single “Get Behind This” to the pleasure of the crowd.
After a long break, Andrew McMahon’s band took to the stage one at a time interacting with props on the stage all tied the pool party theme. He opened with “Everything Must Go” from the latest release Upside Down Flowers. Andrew began playing his piano hidden behind a wall on the stage as the song built up he was pulled out making a climatic entrance. While he did play lots of songs from the latest release he did mix in material spanning his decade long career. Be sure to catch the Upside Down Tour, as they will be hitting several cities this spring including some festivals this summer.
