The Wood Brothers entered The Vogue Theatre to a packed house Thursday April 19th in Indianapolis. Highlighting songs from their new album, "One Drop of Truth" the brothers did not disappoint as they took the fans on a journey through their catalog of songs old and new. The Wood Brothers Oliver (guitar) and Chris (stand up bass), along with multi-instrumental Jano Rix, captivated fans and had the energy levels at an all time high then slowed things down to bring out an old time single mic and shhh the crowd, telling stories and joking around. They asked opening act Nicki Bluhm to join them to the crowds delight as they all gathered around the single mic to remind us what it used to be like in the old days when theatre houses like The Vogue brought communities together to hear and watch musicians sing and play. Highlighting their individual music skills, Oliver made introductions (as if any were needed) of Chris and Jano, then brought the crowd back to their feet, dancing and singing along with the brothers to close the night with a single encore. Be sure to watch for the Wood Brothers as they bring the "One Drop of Truth" tour to your town. I personally can not say enough about this show. I promise it will be everything you want it to be and more. Pix Meyers "
